My first ever post on this site - I feel like a writer faced with a blank sheet before they put pen to paper!
So welcome and what's is Sparklezone? Well, I guess I should introduce myself and tell you what this Sparklezone thing is all about. My name is Lisa Mitchell and I am a coach who set up Sparklezone as an entity a year and a half ago. Even now, when I write or say the name it makes me smile and it seems to have that effect on other people too so I hope just the thought of it has made your day a little lighter.
The essence of Sparklezone has always been to connect people to what is really important inside them, to what makes them 'sparkle'. We all know people who we are instinctively drawn to for some reason; people who have charisma or presence, who seem so comfortable in their own skin. Well, for me, that sparkle is possible for each and every one of us when we connect to what is really important to us, to who we really are at our core.
I set up Sparklezone to help people to reconnect to themselves and to live their lives from this place. I meet a lot of people who feel disconnected or dis-satisfied with their lives in some way that they can't quite put their finger on, who have a general sense that there is more to life. It seems to be a malaise of our society, that there is less organised religion, less structure around us and more choice and more affluence than ever before and yet many of us are more cut off and dis-satisfied than ever. We spend money on houses, cars, material possessions in the hope that they will fulfil us but somehow they never do, so we keep moving on to the next thing and the next... Well, the truth is not a new one but one that bears repeating; the answer to your happiness lies inside you and is more accessible than you think. Once you are able to tap into and reconnect to who you really are, being truely fufilled is in your grasp. Believe me, I speak from many years of experience of ignoring a vague sense that my life wasn't what I wanted it to be. Luckily I found a coach and that helped me to see that I could love my life without having to be penniless in the process!
I am a coach primarily but have a strong belief that a combination of physical and emotional work brings the most satisfying, long lasting and life changing results. I believe that physical health and well being is essential to provide a platform for emotional change. I also believe that there are a huge number of ways out there that we can start to feel better about ourselves and that could be through coaching, massage, yoga or simply a fantastic facial - whatever does it for you!
This is the direction I see Sparklezone moving to in the next year and I'd love to hear from you if you are a therapist living in Brighton or London who would be interested in linking with Sparklezone in the future. Or if you know of fantastic therapists you could put me in touch with. I'd love to meet massage therapists, homeopaths, yoga teachers, meditation teachers, nutritionists, wardrobe and image consultants, beauty therapists - and many more I haven't even thought of yet! So if you are passionate about creating change in people's lives and seeing them sparkle, get in touch.
And my intention is that this blog acts as a way to share my thoughts and experience on what helps to create change in people's lives. I hope you find it useful and inspiring and would love to have your comments and input.
Lisa,
nice blog! The world needs more optimism, creativity, 'can do', and positivity. Good on you! Keep on doing it.

Would love to finally get round to meeting you for coffee and telling all.
